Dr. Eli Janabi is a general dentist who is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Janabi went on to further his education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, New York, NY, earning his Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree.Dr. Janabi dedicates time to continuing his education and staying up-to-date with the latest dental advancements. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Columbia Dental alumni. In his spare time, Dr. Janabi enjoys traveling and exploring the world to learn about different cultures and countries.
Dr. Zinah Shakir is a foreign-trained dentist who earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Baghdad in 2007. She later continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors in Vulnerable Populations. Through this program, she devoted her personal time to providing comprehensive care to refugees, survivors of torture and individuals affected by human trafficking — experiences that deepened her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered dentistry. She was also honored with the Columbia Dentoform Corporation Award for her outstanding service to the community.
With several years of clinical experience, Dr. Shakir is known for her thorough, transparent approach and her dedication to delivering the highest quality of care. She is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and always prioritizes their comfort and wellbeing, treating each patient with the same care and respect she would offer a family member.
Dr. Shakir is Invisalign® certified and has over 14 years of experience in teeth alignment, cosmetic dentistry, removable and fixed prosthetics, extractions, root canal therapy and pediatric care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shakir enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is a proud mother of two and loves exploring the outdoors with her husband — whether walking, hiking, traveling or discovering new cultures. She also enjoys staying active through regular gym workouts and embracing opportunities to experience the world together as a family.
